Dr. Alexander (Alex) Osterwalder is one of the world’s most influential innovation experts, a leading author, entrepreneur and in-demand speaker whose work has changed the way established companies do business and how new ventures get started.
Transform your idea into a validated value proposition through real customer feedback.
Follow our proven process, refined through work with hundreds of innovation teams and backed by decades of experience.
Apply cutting-edge practices to rapidly validate your innovation's potential.
Equip your team with practical innovation skills and exposure to world-class methodologies.
Master industry-standard frameworks including the Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas.
Build insights from 5-10 customer interviews to guide your innovation's development.
You do not need prior experience with innovation or with our tools to participate. The program has been designed for anyone to be able to follow it and each team will be assigned a Strategyzer coach to provide guidance along the way.
There are two things you need to do before the sprint to ensure you are ready.
First, you need to have an idea and an associated customer segment that idea is for. Before the sprint, you and your assigned coach will go through a short call to assess your idea.
Second, you need to start pre-scheduling interviews with your customer segment. These interviews will take place during the sprint but due to the short time frame of the sprint, you will need to get started on scheduling before the sprint starts.
Other than these two steps, everything else you need to do to prepare for the interviews will be covered in the first workshop. By the end of that workshop you will be ready to run your interviews.
You can bring any idea (regardless of market type, industry, etc.) as long as you have an understanding of a few things for it.
First, you need to know who specifically your idea is targeting. Second, you need to be able to articulate what the customer’s need is and how your solution meets that need. An example of an idea that meets this criteria would be: our idea targets parents of toddlers who are struggling to get their young children to brush their teeth. Our solution would make brushing teeth fun for toddlers.
An example of an idea that does not meet this criteria would be: our idea is to create a new consumer product in home dental care. This idea represents an opportunity space but is not clear enough to be ready for the Lightning sprint.
We recommend your team consist of 3 or a maximum of 4 people.
You can bring as many ideas as you would like. However, each idea requires its own dedicated team. Additionally, each team requires a designated team lead.
The program has been designed so that only your team members and your assigned Strategyzer coach discuss the specifics of your idea. During the workshops, you might be asked to share general learnings with the group (i.e. what did you learn about running customer interviews?) but specifics related to your project will not be shared with the rest of the cohort.
Each member of your team will need the tools listed below
Given the nature of our virtual workshops, there are onboarding items to complete (e.g. getting all team members signed up on the Strategyzer platform) prior to the first workshop.
We will start this process 2 weeks prior to the first workshop. We will contact you via email with further instructions.
If you have further questions on if this would serve your team's needs, talk to our sales team. They will take the time to understand where you are at and be able to point you to the resources and programs that can best advance your work.
A 20% discount on a standard price ticket will apply to group bookings of 5 or more teams from the same company. This discount applies to both physical and virtual master workshops.
